From March 25 to 29, 2013, FLA provided training on the 12 dimensions of Fair Wages for Participating Company H&M in Guangzhou and Shanghai. Sixty-five participants from the sustainability and production teams joined the training and discussion.
FLA’s training explored the differences between traditional compliance-oriented assessments and the Fair Wage approach. The session was led by Ms. Sun Ying, an FLA accredited trainer, whose areas of expertise include labor relations, worker participation and supply chain management. She provided practical examples and case studies from her previous experiences to facilitate the discussion.
Participants developed a better understanding of the conditions and dimensions of the Fair Wage framework, and reflected on existing wage practices in their supply chains.
