Current Topics

The Fair Labor Association continually engages with stakeholders in the broad labor and human rights community, local and national governments and industry to address current issues and concerns related to corporate social responsibility, the global fight against sweatshop labor, and other global economic and social issues. Through this engagement, the FLA and its affiliated companies, universities and colleges, and NGOs provide expert analysis and a pragmatic voice to policy discussions in working groups and other coalitions.

Sometimes the FLA commissions research on international, regional, national and local issues related to labor compliance and the social impacts to gain a better understanding of key issues that affect our affiliates and to support the work of the FLA. Additionally, FLA experts also provide public commentary on a range of topical issues to increase awareness about the work of the organization and to promote understanding about the impact of labor compliance even beyond the workplace.
