Webinar; March 8, 2018; 10AM EST
Since December 2015, the Fair Labor Association (FLA) has been leading a pilot project designed to combat the use of child labor and support ethical recruitment practices in the farming and production of hazelnuts in Turkey. Building on our past work in cocoa, vegetable-seed, cotton, and other agricultural supply chains around the world, we have been working in partnership with Nestlé and two of its suppliers, Olam Progida and Balsu Gida, on a pilot project supported by the U.S. Department of Labor.
This project demonstrates how companies can use guidelines developed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to improve conditions in any agricultural supply chain. As we work toward the project’s conclusion in June 2018, we invite you to join us for the first in a series of webinars that will describe key insights and indicators of change found through this project, and describe how more companies can address these issues within their own supply chains. Register here.
This webinar will feature presentations from:
• Yann Wyss, Senior Manager of Social and Environmental Impact, Nestlé
• Shelley Stinelli, International Relations Officer, U.S. Department of Labor
• Heeral Coleman, Director of Communications and Stakeholder Services, Fair Labor Association.
