HeRmeS-R Project

The HeRmeS-R is a two-year project (starting in November 2007) supported by the European Commission under the Leonardo da Vinci program. Eight European partners have joined together in a multi-stakeholder collaborative approach to improve the human resource and CSR standards and policies of subcontractors across many industries. The HeRmeS-R group is developing training programs that will be used to train trainers, who will in turn train executive staff. These programs will cover corporate social responsibility broadly, including such topics as labor compliance, corporate ethics, and the environment, and will be piloted in a number of small and medium sized enterprises in Bulgaria, France, Portugal and Romania. This project could eventually lead to a certification system for training materials, trainers and practitioners. The FLA has received a grant from the Swiss government to validate the project’s outputs and will participate in the accreditation process for the trainers.
