FLA's Perspective and Analysis on the Designated Supplier Program proposal
In September 2005, student anti-sweatshop groups across the country urged their campus administrators to support a new proposal aimed at strengthening worker rights in the workplace. The proposal, entitled the Designated Supplier Program, calls for greater assurances for freedom of association and living wage in a supplier's supply chain.The FLA program, including the development of FLA 3.0 and the licensee program, leverages the FLA multi-stakeholder constituency to improve lives of workers around the world.
