The FLA’s first Public Report charts the progress of seven participating companies from August 1, 2001 to July 31, 2002, the first year a formal monitoring program existed. It provides the public with an extremely detailed look at how a number of major companies try to ensure the factories they source from treat their workers properly. The purpose of the report is to make transparent these companies’ efforts in this regard.
