Tharindu “Tee” Athauda is FLA’s Operations Project Manager. He manages the organization’s annual renewal processes, supports the management of its AMS platform, and collaborates across departments to manage the Fair Labor Data Hub. Tee also works closely with leadership to improve efficiency and support organizational goals. His experience spans project management, operations, executive support, and facilities management.

Before joining FLA, Tee worked extensively in the nonprofit sector, including roles in refugee resettlement and labor unions. Most recently, he served at Kids in Need of Defense (KIND), partnering with the senior leadership team to drive key organizational initiatives and operational improvements. Earlier in his career, Tee held positions supporting executives and managing facilities operations, building a strong foundation in both strategic and day-to-day management. Tee brings a strong passion for mission-driven work, designing systems that increase efficiency while creating meaningful impact for people and communities. 

Outside of work, Tee enjoys spending time with his family and traveling to explore new places and cultures. He is based in the Bay Area, and he speaks English and Sinhalese.
