FLA launches toolkit to help companies improve grievance mechanism systems
WASHINGTON, August 21, 2025 — The Fair Labor Association (FLA) today released a new toolkit to help companies create and operate effective grievance systems that promote worker voice and remediate labor violations in global supply chains.
FLA’s new toolkit outlines concrete steps to develop, implement, and measure effective grievance mechanisms. The toolkit highlights key focus areas, common challenges, best practices, and more. Case studies, examples from the field, and direct quotes provide tangible examples of success.
“Grievance mechanisms are critical not only to protecting workers, but also to safeguarding a company’s reputation with consumers and investors,” said FLA President and CEO Jeff Vockrodt. “However, many brands and suppliers struggle to fully implement them. Our new toolkit will help companies establish grievance processes that demonstrate that labor rights concerns are taken seriously and resolved quickly.”
On Thursday, September 4, FLA will host a public webinar to introduce the toolkit and answer questions about its application.
