Applications now open for 2025-26 FLA Student Committee

Issues Fair Labor

Beginning Monday, August 18, Fair Labor Association is accepting applications for the FLA Student Committee for the 2025-26 academic year.

The student committee provides students enrolled at FLA member schools with an opportunity for practical learning, professional development, and networking with experts dedicated to human rights.

Undergraduate or graduate students at FLA member colleges or universities are eligible to apply for the student committee. Ideal candidates demonstrate personal, professional, and/or academic interest in human rights, labor conditions, and social responsibility.

Committee members are expected to join a 1-hour monthly Zoom session from October 2025 to April 2026. Students are also encouraged to engage further through additional, optional professional development opportunities.

  • Monthly professional development seminars (one hour – virtual attendance required): Learn from subject matter experts, interact with professionals and academics in the fields of human rights and social responsibility, and network with peers.
  • Professional development project (optional): FLA offers support to students who choose to apply learning and demonstrate scholarship in human rights and social responsibility through writing or multimedia projects.
  • Access to FLA events and resources (optional): Students may choose to engage further with FLA via access to our e-Learning program, board convenings, and member-only newsletters.

The application period begins on Monday, Aug. 18, and concludes on Sunday, Sept. 28. All interested students should submit an application. Selected FLA Student Committee members will be notified by September 30, 2025, and the first committee convening will be October 16.
