Farms in the supply chains of FLA members are subject to an annual Independent External Assessment. Olam International has been affiliated with the FLA since 2012 and executes its Sustainable Palm Oil Policy in its palm owned-operations and supply chains globally.
FLA conducted a 2019 assessment at one of Olam’s palm supplier’s operations located in the Lahad Datu district of Sabah (East Malaysia). The assessment covered three palm oil estates and one mill located in the same catchment area.
