Join FLA, the Working Group on Business and Human Rights and Australian Human Rights Institute UNSW, the Danish Institute for Human Rights, and the Geneva Center for Business and Human Rights to reflect on how programs and policies to implement the UNGPs designed with stakeholder engagement at their heart can bring about positive human rights change.
Through case studies, presenters will demonstrate what effective stakeholder engagement looks like in practice, and that moving stakeholder interaction along a continuum from token consultation to meaningful engagement requires it to be early, sustained, collective, inclusive, two-way, and linked to accountability and involve business, government, civil society, and workers.
FLA Executive Vice President Richa Mittal will share the award-winning Harvesting the Future initiative in rose supply chains in Türkiye as an example of how multi-stakeholder collaboration can effectively address human and labor rights risks in agricultural supply chains.
