Julianna Maio joined the Fair Labor Association in 2026 as a program officer to help manage the launch and implementation of the Collegiate Retailer Program Pilot. Maio also supports the execution of other collegiate programs through data tracking, analysis, coordination, communication, and continuous program improvement.
Previously, she worked in the apparel sector as a designer, developing seasonal brand lines as well as managing production and sourcing for seasonal lines, wholesale orders, and licensing collaborations. Through this experience, Maio became inspired to leverage her knowledge of apparel supply chains to focus her work on improving human rights in global supply chains.
She studied at IE University’s New York City campus, pursuing an MS in Business for Social Impact and Sustainability, where she deepened her knowledge of global supply chains and the complexities involved in advancing human rights and addressing environmental concerns within them.
Maio is based in Wyckoff, New Jersey. She speaks English fluently and Spanish with an intermediate proficiency.
