Morgan Riggs is a program officer on the Social Compliance team. In her role, Riggs supports the evaluation of companies participating in the Fair Labor Accreditation process and helps advance the organization’s efforts to improve working conditions in global supply chains.
Prior to joining FLA in 2026, Riggs served as a climate fellow with the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. Her professional experience also includes energy and mobility research, climate finance, and corporate environmental and social sustainability reporting. While in graduate school, Riggs interned at FLA through a program jointly supported by the University of Michigan President’s Advisory Committee on Labor Standards and Human Rights (PACLSHR) and the Donia Human Rights Center (DHRC). Throughout her career, Riggs has focused on advancing responsible purchasing and production, strengthening corporate accountability, and integrating environmental and social considerations into business decision-making.
Riggs holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and international studies and a master’s in sustainable systems from the University of Michigan. She is based in Michigan.
